The Chinese Girl who loves Malay clothes.

Lately I am sure you guys do notice me wearing a lot of Malay (Muslimah) clothing, which is covered up and decent looking.
And I had declared openly in my Facebook fan page regarding the fact that I am obsessed with the way Malay women wear their "tutup aurat" type of wear, and that I don't really care if people are staring at me in a weird manner.

Before you read the following statements about myself, I would advise you to swallow down the coffee you just sipped, or any type of liquid that's in your mouth to prevent anything from splashing onto your laptop/smartphone/computer screens...

I am a Playboy magazine model.
I am a former Playboy Bunny.
I am FHM cover girl this month.
I am an ambassador for Momo, a breast firming health drink.
I am also well known to be photographed in my lingerie, bikinis and sexy race queen outfits.

Pretty much of these things that I do require not more than a metre of fabric.

But ironically, I secretly love to dress up like those girls who wear tudung, selendang, turban and baju kurung, kaftan, abaya, jubah and kebaya.

Now...don't get me wrong, I am a Malaysian-Chinese, not converted into Islam, not trying to make anyone happy or impressed, not trying to convert (well, unless my future husband happens to be a Muslim, I'd be happy to convert!) and not trying to pull a publicity stunt.

What I do is just my work as a model, but it does not decide my personal lifestyle and preferences.
Just because I am a model, does NOT mean I smoke, I drink, I party until the wee hours of dawn, and certainly does not mean I am always showing cleavages or thighs.

You must be wondering on why do I like Muslimah's wear.

Simple. Because it feels so much better to be respected, looked upon and taken seriously when you are attracting people with the real beauty of a woman's soft facial features, your personality, your grace and your elegance.
I simply believe that a true beauty is when you cover her body and hair (which with the correct styling plays a major role in beautifying a woman's entire look), and you still see a beautiful person, regardlessly. That...is true beauty. =)

Undeniably, I love Muslimah clothing because of they are actually really well designed, comfortable and elegant. I love how they are decorated with manik-manik, labuci, diamantes, laces with really traditional motives. Its actually pretty amazing how good our local designers are with their creativity, in making their designs traditionally decent yet somehow still subtly seductive, conservative yet modern, and all covered up yet still able to be comfortable to wear.

Personally, I love designs from Jovian Mandagie, Radzuan Radziwill, Yadotsa, and Rizalman.

So people are gonna keep staring...but I am still gonna keep wearing.

Hmm...still rasa pelik tak?

  6. U look absolute gorgeous/sweet when u wore all those Malay traditional clothing, Its true when u covered up men tends to show more respect towards them. And with the world we live in now (where men abusing physically & mentally women) we need to RESPECT women MORE because without them there will never be us MEN. With that bombshell choose whats the best for u and ignore the haters. Have a great holiday :)

  7. ahhhh felixia, you look really nice in malay clothes! I'm a malaysian chinese and I love it too mainly because of my mom, she's a teacher so sometimes she wore baju kurung/baju kebaya to work and I find it really really nice. Hope you wont mind me asking those malay clothing in your photos above, are those baju's from the few brands you mentioned- Jovian Mandagie, Radzuan Radziwill, Yadotsa, and Rizalman???

Can you recommend where you get those baju's? :D Thanks felixia

    1. I wish I could afford the designer ones, but I am saving money for a greater cause, but there is always a after-Raya sales if you keep an eye open on their websites and all. =) For more affordable Malay wear, I hunt in Kenanga Wholesale, and even places like Tesco. Good luck!

  8. ponder this: the clams species covered their pearls because the pearls are gem and beautiful and it need to protected from the vicious predators. safeguard your honour for it is only destined to love by your other half who is somewhere in this world.

  9. Felixia, you do look lovely in the Malay attire, no doubt in that. However, I personally feel that Saree would be the best choice of dress for you. Give it a try, Saree has its unique blend of homely and sexy look.

  11. Can I just say that if those that are making fun of you are so called Muslims, then I can say that they have no true value of what a Muslim should do. As a Muslim we should respect others as if we respect ourselves. Those that look at you weirdly are the ones that are wrong, they are jealous because you are doing something they should and they feel insecure. Please, don't make this a reason why you should stop wearing these types of clothes. As you said, there are two types of you, a working Felixia and a private Felixia that does whatever she wants. Don't let people control your life. Have a good day Ms Felixia Yeap.

don't listen to fools and try your best to ignore those hurtful, idiotic comments. if u like em clothes, go on and wear them!! and i am gushing over how "Ayu" you look in these clothes. and I'm a girl!

  43. Were you assaulted during your gig as a play-boy bunny and model? I see symptoms of a woman blaming her career choice because people involved in the career did not know their boundaries. It's true that these Mat Sallehs sometimes have a fetish for Chinese girls and fetisize them as some kind of exotic sex dolls, to the point that they would assault her. Is that why you chose this Muslimah fashion? You cover up your 'guilt' and 'shame' in a psychological way? Things like that happen in the modelling and fashion industry world all the time - you could (or could have) sought for help.

  49. People can say n do wat they like. Most importantly is to ask ourselves is WHO WE ARE n wat we wanna be? Life is already written for us by HIM. Sin or not , who goes to hell or heaven is not for us human to judge. Kadang2 kata2 kita ibarat doa yg mungkin dimakbulkan tau!!! Cheers!!!!
